The Andalusian Employment Service (SAE) is a Public Agency, attached to the Regional Ministry of Employment, in charge of developing the active employment policies in Andalusia. Through the virtual office (http://www.juntadeandalucia.es/servicioandaluzdeempleo) both the companies and the citizens can find, at any time, an answer to their respective needs of human resources and insertion in the labour market.

Delivering services to employers and jobseekers is the core of our policies, in which incentives and training for employment, as well as the best management of offers and demands of employment, are essential parts. The Personalised Insertion Itinerary is the key tool for jobseekers improving their employability and designing a job-seeking strategy properly adapted to their employment needs and expectations.

At the Andalusian Employment Service, we continuously think about what to do in order to better know the employment needs of the citizens and deliver them more and better services. We take advantage of Information and communication Technologies which allow the online delivery of many of our services. The virtual office is open 365 days a year.

According to the Law 4/2002 of 16 of December, referred to the Creation of the Andalusian Employment Service, its specific goals are the implementation of the competencies assigned to the region in the field of employment and professional qualification, specifically the following ones: promotion of employment, training for employment, guidance and counselling, labour market research, registration of demands and labour market intermediation. In order to carry out these competencies, the following functions have been assigned to the Andalusian Employment Service:

I. Preparation of the draft Employment Plans

II. Planning, management, promotion and evaluation of the different programmes and actions for employment which are the competence of the autonomous region, particularly the following ones:

The ones related to promotion of employment
The ones related to training for employment, coordination and planning of the own training centres and of those run into partnership, as well as the development of those other functions assigned to these centres.
The labour market research and the dissemination of information about the labour market.
The labour intermediation, the registration of jobseekers, the receipt of communications on labour contracts and the management of the Eures Network in Andalusia.
The vocational guidance and counselling and the support actions for the improvement of professional qualifications and employment.
The ones related to the promotion of entrepreneurship, training to new entrepreneurs and SMEs, the promotion of self-employment and the spreading of entrepreneurial culture.
The collaboration with mass media in order to promote the different employment plans and to pass on the cultural and ethical values stimulating the quantity and quality of employment.
The authorization to the associated and collaborator centres associated to those entities taking part in the development of the activities which are the competence of the Andalusian Employment Service, as well as the authorization to the employment agencies acting in the area of Andalusia.
The promotion and development of local employment, attending to the specific needs in every territory and in coordination with local authorities.

III. The resolution of the call for proposals for financial aids and subventions and the signature of collaboration agreements related to the competencies assigned to the Andalusian Employment Service.

IV. The technical assistance, in the field of employment and vocational training for employment , to the different organisms of the Regional Government, Junta de Andalucía, and to other Public administrations when the Service is required to do that.

V. Any other functions that may be assigned to the Andalusian Employment Service by any regulation or agreement of the Government Council of the Junta de Andalucía or any other functions that may be transferred, in the future, to the Junta de Andalucía in the field of employment.
